Scoreboard Update
- Switched to ASA plastic because overheating
- No more gluing flaps together, the magnets are dropped in during a print pause and then encased in the plastic.
- This also allows middle part of the flap to be consistent color to remove black line in the middle of the white segment
- For more reliable flipping I also drop in a steel pin. printing small rod ends was prone to failure or had to be sanded
- Use interlocking rails to hold the plastic cover sheet (sand jams flaps and wind can blow them and change it). They are locked in place by the back cover snapping into place
- Exploring switching screws in back plate to magnets to increase flap position hold and reduce labor (can be dropped in mid print also).
- Using single 18650 battery with 3.3->12.6V step up so only have enough power available to flip 1 flap at a time
- Intend to use solar panels on fold out back stand to keep it charged up, should be able to run continuously with small solar panel!
